If you run one or two products and want to know “does ChatGPT name my product?”, Rankdawn Pro is our pick for a founder-sized budget and a weekly workflow. It tracks ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, then gives you fixes to work through. Choose a broader monitoring tool if you need more engines or deeper analysis.
We build Rankdawn, so this is not an independent ranking. This comparison uses our current product and competitors' published pages, not a hands-on benchmark of their accounts. The right choice depends on what you will actually do after reading a report.
What an AI visibility tool actually measures
You are checking a sample of answers to buyer questions. You are not measuring every conversation anyone has with an AI assistant. Keep that limit in mind when a dashboard looks precise.
- Citations: a source linked or referenced in an answer. Some tools also call a named brand a citation. In Rankdawn's citations view, start by checking whether the brand is named, then read the answer for context. A brand mention is not necessarily a link to your website.
- Position: where your brand appears in a list of recommendations. Being named first is different from being an afterthought. An answer without an ordered list needs more careful interpretation.
- Sentiment: whether the answer describes your product positively, neutrally or negatively. It is an interpretation of language, not a customer satisfaction survey.
- Competitors named instead: the alternatives an assistant suggests when it does not name you. Read why they were chosen before deciding what to change.
Example query: “What is a simple customer feedback tool for a solo SaaS founder?”
Example answer: “Consider Acorn Feedback for a small public roadmap. Beacon Board is another option if you need a larger feedback portal.”
These are fictional products in an illustrative answer. If you build Acorn Feedback, you would record a mention, its position and the reason given. You would not record a website citation unless the answer actually linked or referenced your site.
The screenshot is illustrative, not a customer result or a promised citation rate. Open it at full size to inspect the answer rather than just the headline metric.
How we judged the tools
A founder does not need another report that nobody opens. We compared these tools against a practical checklist:
- Price: the recurring commitment, billing period and any engine add-ons, not just the lowest advertised figure.
- Engines tracked: whether the plan includes the assistants your buyers use, especially ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.
- Fixes or only data: whether a finding comes with a useful next action. Recommendations still need your judgment.
- Weekly scans: a repeatable cadence you can maintain alongside product work. More frequent monitoring is useful only if you use it.
- Trial terms: what requires a card, when billing starts and what happens when you cancel.
- No marketing department: whether you can turn a result into a small change without hiring someone to interpret it.
AI visibility tools compared
Competitor prices and features checked on October 30, 2026. Sources are linked in each row. Prices are in US dollars as displayed by the vendors; taxes and checkout terms may differ. Annual commitments are not equivalent to cancel-any-month prices.
| Tool | Starting price | Engines tracked | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rankdawn Pro | From $19.99/month under the founding offer for the first 10 customers. Check the Pro card for current eligibility and ongoing pricing. 7-day trial with a card. | ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity. | Weekly scans, citations, competitor analysis and 4 recommendations a week. | A founder with one or two products who wants a weekly fix list. |
| Peec AI checked on October 30, 2026 | $95/month for Starter, checked on October 30, 2026. See Peec AI pricing. | Starter lists ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI as available, with three active models. Claude and Perplexity appear in Enterprise coverage, checked on October 30, 2026. | Daily visibility, position, sentiment, source analysis and recommended actions, checked on October 30, 2026. | A marketer who needs a deeper reporting workflow. Verify model availability for the chosen plan, checked on October 30, 2026. |
| Rankscale checked on October 30, 2026 | $99/month for monthly Pro. A lower annual-only Essentials tier is also listed. For its current annual total, check their pricing page: Rankscale pricing, checked on October 30, 2026. | ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews among its listed engines, checked on October 30, 2026. | Credit-based monitoring, citation analysis, competitor benchmarking, page audits and Scout recommendations, checked on October 30, 2026. | A founder or analyst prepared to budget query credits and configure coverage, checked on October 30, 2026. |
| Otterly checked on October 30, 2026 | $29/month for Lite. See Otterly pricing, checked on October 30, 2026. | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot; Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons, checked on October 30, 2026. | Daily tracking, citation sources, visibility and sentiment. Lite also lists weekly recommendations and audits, checked on October 30, 2026. | A solo marketer comfortable with Lite's prompt allowance and any additional engine cost, checked on October 30, 2026. |
Do not compare the sticker prices without choosing your prompt set and engines first. An engine add-on, an annual commitment or a credit allowance can change the decision. We have not confirmed every competitor's card requirement or trial duration, so check those terms at checkout rather than assuming they match Rankdawn.
Where each tool is strongest
Rankdawn: a short loop from answer to action
Rankdawn Pro fits a founder who wants to check a small product portfolio, read the actual answers and choose a fix. It covers 2 websites, 2 competitors and 25 buyer prompts a week, including 5 of your own. Those limits come from our Pro plan.
The useful part is not collecting another score. It is seeing that an assistant cannot find a clear use-case explanation, then improving that page before the next scan. A recommendation is a suggested task, not proof that the task will increase mentions.
Rankdawn is a newer product, with fewer features than enterprise tools. It does not offer team seats yet. If you need broader engine coverage or a large analytics operation, do not stretch Pro into a job it was not built for.
Peec AI: deeper monitoring and reporting
Peec AI lists daily tracking, source analytics, share of voice and recommended actions on its pricing page, checked on October 30, 2026. That makes it worth evaluating when analysis itself is a regular part of your job, rather than a task squeezed between releases.
Its Starter model selection is not the same as buying all of its listed engines. Claude and Perplexity are shown under Enterprise coverage on Peec AI pricing, checked on October 30, 2026. Ask which plan covers your actual engine list before paying.
Rankscale: configurable coverage and audits
Rankscale lists credit-based monitoring, adjustable scheduling, page audits and Scout recommendations on Rankscale pricing, checked on October 30, 2026. Its product page lists ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity alongside other engines, checked on October 30, 2026.
That is a reason to evaluate it when you want control over the monitoring setup. Work out the credits needed for your chosen questions, engines and schedule before comparing its cost with a fixed weekly plan. The listed annual-only Essentials tier and monthly Pro are different commitments, checked on October 30, 2026.
Otterly: an alternative for a small prompt set
Otterly Lite lists daily monitoring and citation source tracking, with Claude offered as an extra add-on, checked on October 30, 2026. Its pricing page also lists recommendations for Lite, so it would be unfair to describe the tool as data only, checked on October 30, 2026.
Use Otterly pricing to check the full cost of the engines you want, checked on October 30, 2026. If Claude matters to your research, compare that configured price rather than Lite's base price alone.
Who should pick which
- Founder with a main product: start by evaluating Rankdawn Pro if weekly answers and a fix list are enough.
- Founder with several products: compare the website and prompt limits on Rankdawn Premium against your actual portfolio.
- Marketing team: use the small-team GEO tool guide to judge reporting requirements before selecting a product.
- Agency: start with client volume and reporting obligations, then compare Agency with the alternatives above. Do not assume a multi-site allowance includes separate team accounts.

What to do in the first week
- Run a first scan. Create your Rankdawn account and use questions a buyer would ask before knowing your brand. Save that question set so a later comparison means something.
- Read the fix. After activating your trial or subscription, inspect the underlying answer and the recommendation. Decide whether the issue is a missing explanation, weak evidence or something technical.
- Publish one change. Update a page you control, record what changed and keep the next scan's questions consistent. If the issue is technical, send the evidence to the person who maintains your website.
Do not rewrite your entire site after one scan. If an answer changes, inspect the sources and wording before attributing the movement to your edit.
